Communication is a capability.
Not a course.
Emprov helps healthcare, social service, and nonprofit teams turn Applied Motivational Interviewing from something people learn into a skill they actually use. Confidently, consistently, and in the moments that matter.
We combine experiential skill-building with leadership and supervisory support so communication skills don't end when the workshop does. They become part of how your organization works.
Training is the beginning, not the finish line.
Most communication training teaches concepts people forget by Monday. Emprov creates experiential, lasting capability that frontline teams can carry into every encounter.

A passion for meaningful connection.
Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years—including a decade in high-empathy roles alongside patients, nurses, and case managers—Shaun discovered firsthand that traditional, lecture-heavy training wasn't creating lasting behavior change.
Growing up in Los Angeles gave Shaun early exposure to culturally and economically diverse communities, instilling a deep curiosity and appreciation for unique perspectives. Combined with his background in behavioral economics, empathic communication, mindfulness, and improvisation, Shaun created Emprov to help teams build authentic connections and drive forward momentum.
Honoring Autonomy
Respecting every individual’s capacity and wisdom to guide their own path to change.
Paying it Forward
Creating ripple effects of empathy across non-profit and healthcare communities.
Meeting People Where They Dream
Connecting directly with people's intrinsic motivations, aspirations, and goals.
People are not standardized. Communication shouldn't be either.
Motivational Interviewing helps professionals meet people where they are rather than expecting every person to respond to the same conversation in the same way.
People navigating difficult life circumstances have different levels of trust, readiness, and fear. Someone may need information. Someone else may simply need to be heard.
Emprov provides professionals with a practical, adaptive framework to approach those high-stakes conversations with empathy, curiosity, and directional momentum.
Grounded in healthcare, communication, and implementation.
Emprov brings over two decades of real-world healthcare experience across patient engagement, frontline leadership, and organizational systems design.

Practical learning for meaningful conversations.
Adults learn best when they can connect new skills directly to the work they already do. We focus on experiential learning that prepares teams for real human interactions.
Experiential & Adaptive Simulation
People build real confidence through live simulation, practice, and self-correction in high-stakes scenarios—not by reading bullet points off slide decks.
Sustained Leadership & Coaching Loops
Practice becomes permanent when supervisors and leadership are equipped with simple coaching structures that support their teams long-term.
